Art's ability to get us thinking and feeling in new and profoundly different ways inspires me as I believe making space for other ways of understanding beyond the purely rational is vital for our personal and collective well being. 

 

Art's transformative effects are truly magical, which is why in this series I liken the experience of becoming absorbed in a painting to falling under its spell. Peace! The Charm's Wound Up is the last line of a spell cast on the eponymous character in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Here, the line is repurposed to highlight how art's mystical qualities promote personal and collective wellbeing.
